Some of you might remember the big news around the holidays last year of how Blockbuster Video was going to put an end to late fees. Well it now seems that the end is near for that program as some stores (that adopted the program) are now dropping it and bringing back the late fees. It seems that without the threat of late fees people are keeping films longer and thus cutting into the rentals to other customers.

Truthfully did Blockbuster not see this coming? With no repercussions for customers of course they are going to keep films longer. So if you are going out to the video store this weekend and you thought you could keep the movie a little longer, be prepared for some late fees. Check with your local Blockbuster stores to see if they are going to change their fees or not. I know the one closest to my house is changing back.
