Students get in free to APHA Exhibit Hall

From December 10 through the 14, the American Public Health Association will be holding their Annual Meeting here in Philadelphia. It was supposed to take place in New Orleans in November, but as we all know, NOLA isn’t in any shape to be hosting large conventions these days. I work with the Philadelphia Partners for Public Health, and so will soon be immersed in this convention. One cool bit of information that trickled my way at our last meeting, is that anyone with a valid student id card, be it high school, college, grad school or anything in between, can get into the convention hall on Wednesday, December 14th for free. As this is the last day of the meeting, the exhibitors and vendors are trying to get rid of all the stuff they brought with them, and so the opportunities to pick up some good swag will be abundant. There will also be representatives from just about every Public Health School and Program across the country, if you are interested in talking to someone about the possibilities for work in the area of Public Health.

I hope to see some of you all there!
