Somehow This Got Pushed Aside

Somewhere in the middle of the T.O. show we forgot two important Eagles contract extensions. Not being an Eagles fans these moves do little for me but fans of the team should be quite happy.

On Sunday, Pro Bowl running back Brian Westbrook signed a five-year extension to stay with the team. After a bitter contract dispute and what seemed to be a souring relationship, Westbrook and the Eagles came to an agreement. The deal is worth close to $25 million.

On Monday, the Eagles locked up kicker David Akers to a five-year deal. Akers, one of the games best kickers has been an integral part of the Eagles offense for the last few years. Terms of his deal were not disclosed.
