Bloody Trolley Steps

Wednesday morning I walked out of my building, crossed Market Street and headed down the stairs at the northwest corner of 19th and Market to the trolley stop. But something was different about the stairs. Halfway down, a dark stain started. I followed the stairs down to the landing, showed a big splash against the wall, and turned the corner and went all the way down to the base of the stairs. My first thought was that it was blood, which really creeped me out, but I dismissed it, kept my iPod induced detachment intach and got on the trolley.

But the stain was still there yesterday, and today with the addition of the rain, it looks more and more like blood, which leads me to ask the question, was someone injured or killed in my trolley station? If so, why hasn’t there been reports in the news? And why hasn’t SEPTA cleaned it up? You’d think they’d be right on that, wanting to ward off any negative publicitiy.

Anyone know anything about this?

SEPTA doesn’t give two shits and never will.
They’re more interested in making sure their healthcare and union wages are kept intact instead of keep the stations clean and attractive.

    Discouraging, sure.
But we don’t overpay them to care!
