As of Monday, Philadelphia can list another celebrity as a resident of the City of Brotherly Love…at least for the next year. Kimberly Jones aka Lil’ Kim will be serving a one year and one day sentence at the Federal Dentention Center at 7th and Arch for lying to a grand jury and during a trial.

In a statement Lil’ Kim said,

Today begins a new saga in my life, which I expect to strengthen me and allow me time for reflection. I plan to write music while in prison, read and pray regularly and will come out a stronger, more confident woman.

It worked for Martha, can it work for Kimberly Jones?
