“Last year was great with over 800 people attending and this year it will be even better…………” - from the Pop-Noise Fest web-site

Last year my buddy and I rented a car and drove up to Philly for this fest. While the music was fantastic, some of the best underground shoegazer bands going - the festival itself was kind of sad. 800 people is a gross exagerration. My friend and I were literally the only people other than the band members and their few supporters that were there all day. At the height of attendence there was maybe 35 people in the Rotunda. Most of the day the crowd consisted of just the two of us. Which is a shame because these bands rule and the shoegazer scene needs support.

We’re not making the 6 hour round-trip drive this year, but if you live in Philly I would strongly urge you to go to this. Just don’t expect the slick, festival that press-release makes it out to be.
