Young Involved Philadelphia

If you are looking for a way to get involved in this city, one way is Young Involved Philadelphia. I’m on their listserv, and this announcement for their upcoming open house just popped into my inbox. I have to admit that my involvement with YIP does not run deep, I got on the listserv by attending on “Save the Boyd” meeting about three years ago. But they are doing some good stuff, and trying to draw attention to some important issues.

YIP will be holding an Open House on Wednesday, September 28th at 7:00 p.m. at the Seiss Community Center, 2111 Sansom Street.

Get to know YIP’s board and committee members, find out about initiatives planned for the upcoming year, and learn how to get involved with YIP’s:

- Advocacy campaigns
- Civic education programs
- Social events and activities

Meet other young Philadelphians who are also committed to making the city a better place to live, work, and play.
