    The PNI (Inquirer/Daily News) Building, Broad & Spring Garden?

    No question about it–that’s what is now called the Wachovia Building, located on the east side of S. Broad St. (aka the Avenue of the Arts) bewteen Walnut and Sansom Streets. Completed in 1927, it was the tallest building erected in Philadelphia in the 20s.

    James, you got it! Originally the Fidelity Building, then the First Union Building and now the Wachovia Building.
