SEPTA strike threat…again?
SEPTA Union Hints Of Possible Strike

PHILADELPHIA — The union representing the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority’s Philadelphia city division workers is talking about a possible strike.
Members of the local Transport Workers Union have been working without a contract since mid-June, and union chief Jeff Brooks says talks are moving at a snail’s pace.
So he’s starting to look at a possible work stoppage.
Brooks says his union would give sufficient notice of a stoppage — and at this point, nothing is imminent.
SEPTA spokesman Richard Maloney says as the nation is trying to cope with the greatest natural disaster in out history, it’s unconscionable for Brooks to even utter the word ’strike.”’

Pay the workers. A Strike would bring the city
to a holt and you will never gain the money back
that you loose during the strike.raise fares and make passenger pay like we have to pay double for gas.
they need to find a balance beteween pay and insurance.this is so dum, most of the workers drive a bus all day. or the el. Get real no college degree need for this stuff a dropout could do it. there people with master degrees and they have to pay some of there insurance bill BUS DRIVER ARE MAKING 18.00 to 20.00 an hour come on pay part of the insurance evey job i know you pay something give it some time and every job will make you pay part of it SO PAY YOU LOOSER i strike will hurt us but will hurt the people on strike more.
