Human lightening rod

Marisa gave us a weather tag so I fully intend to use it!
Currently, we are experiencing some righteous lightening. I thought maybe, just maybe, it was heat lightening; the only flaw with that plan? Where is the heat. Right.

It’s making me wish that I had a camera right now because my rooftop view of Center City, with all the big buildings, is fantastic. The lightening only enhances such a view and who am I to argue with danger! Standing on top of a 3 story building? Safe. Standing on top of a 3 story building as a low-level lightening storm is brewing? Slightly less safe. Thrilling.

It’s totally a Mississippi thing; but down there, we haul lawn chairs, pool floaties, and bean bags out into the front yard or onto the roof to watch a good lightening storm. Because what else do we have to do? (Yes, life does move slower down there. Thanks for asking.) Any given day during the summer will bring on thunderstorms, lightening, and flash floods. (Never been in a flash flood? They’re awesome. Not so good to drivers, but great for kids with a hankering for running water.)

Which would explain why I’m taking full advantage of my wireless network and sitting on the roof, watching the show and blogging about lightening.
I highly recommend storm watching for those with roof-decks.
