This morning, on the pre-GMA news, AM anchor Matt O’Donnell broke to the weather report with some one-liner about “the weather here in Central America.”

Now, I know that as an aging wanna-be-hipster, I am contractually obligated to sneer at all such attempts to make banter on the news broadcast.

But the man’s got a point. A serious, sopping, humidity-laden point. I’ve been comparing notes with my parents down in the the swampy humidity of South Carolina—turins out, our Philly weather is currently more Deep South than in the Deep South.

Um, Mr. Murphy? I’m ready for this to stop. Any time now. Please make it stop!
