Concerts Under the Stars

In my last post, I mentioned the King of Prussia/Upper Merion Concert Under the Stars series. I went to see Patty Griffin last night and it was a terrific show. It rained for several hours before the show and throughout the entire drive out there, and through most of the opening act. We had the big blue concert tarp wrapped around us and were managing to not get too wet, and then the skies just dried up and it turned into a beautiful evening. There was a bit of mist that settled around the stage, the moon was two-thirds full and fireflies shot their light from around the pond. Patty’s husky country/folk voice floated lightly to all corners of the relaxed audience.

On August 7th, Lucy Kaplansky and John Gorka will be playing out there and on August 21st, the incomparable Dar Williams will grace the gazebo like stage. Check out for the full schedule.
