Last night, I saw this message on the text crawl atop the PECO Building:

PECO IS PROUD TO BE PA’S SAFEST UTILITY!!!

Now, I’m all for safety, especially with things electrical.

But the brag about “safest” does have me wondering about the less-safe utilities in Pennsylvania. Could Philadelphia also house the states least safe utility? Possible.

I’m just going to tell myself those less worthy utilities are all in places like North Braddock*, just to make myself feel more secure.
