London Tragedy

This is my first post, and I’m sad that it has to be about this.

By now, most of you are aware that in London today there were a series of explosions in the subways and on a bus. Over 40 people are reportedly dead with at least 300 more casualities.

From Philadelphia to all of our friends at http://london.metblogs.com and the UK in general, you are in our hearts and prayers.

I know that I’m not the only one who rode the subway and bus this morning into work and school and wondered if it could happen here.

Thankfully, the various agencies of the city are already on on top of the situation – the city’s emergency management operation center has been “partially activated” and there is increased security around the city in key places.
